Incorporated from Coolbaugh Township in 1830, Tobyhanna Township is a progressive and growing municipality located in the quad county corner of northwestern Monroe County and borders Carbon, Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties.

In addition to an elected five-member Board of Supervisors, Tobyhanna Township citizens are engaged in our community development through an Economic Development Authority, Fire Commission, Planning Commission, and Zoning Hearing Board.
