Recycling & Trash Disposal

Tobyhanna Township residents and businesses are required by ordinance to recycle.

Township residents have three options for recycling:
  1.  Anyone may drop off certain recyclables at Panther Waste Systems, LLC at 353 Sullivan Trail, Long Pond, PA 18334. Please read this handbook to learn what is recyclable at Panther Waste. There is a fee of $2.00 per 30-gallon bag for this service.
  2.  Residents may contact their private trash hauler and ask that curbside pickup of recyclables be added to their services. There is a fee associated with this service.
  3.  Monroe County Municipal Waste Management Authority operates the recycling drop off sites in the county. For more information on MCMWA’s drop off locations, please visit the Monroe County Municipal Waste Authority website. Residents may drop off their recyclables at one of two sites:
  • DCNR in Pocono Township: 2174A PA-611, Swiftwater, PA 18370
  • Military Road Recycling Site in Stroud Township: 1110 Military Road, Stroudsburg, PA 18360
