Zoning Hearing Board What do they do?
The Zoning Hearing Board is a quasi-judicial body responsible for interpreting and applying the municipality’s zoning ordinance. It hears and decides requests for variances, special exceptions, and appeals of zoning officer determinations. The Board ensures that zoning regulations are applied fairly while considering the unique circumstances of individual properties. Public hearings are held to review evidence and testimony before decisions are rendered in accordance with applicable laws.
