PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE Tobyhanna Township Zoning Hearing Board will conduct a public hearing at the Tobyhanna Township Municipal Building, 105 Government Center Way, Pocono Pines, PA 18350, on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 5:00 pm for the purpose of hearing the following:
The Application of Edelweiss Estates, LLC. The property in question is known as 845 PA 940, Pocono Lake, PA. The property is located on the north westerly side of Pa 940, approximately 100’ west of Sherwood Drive, a/k/a “E. Beaver Drive” on the applicant’s plans. The property is vacant, containing 3.20 +/- acres. It is further identified as Monroe County Tax Parcel No. 19/15/1/4-9, PIN # 19630500426926. The property is zoned C. The applicant proposes to construct a 9,170 sq. ft. retail building. The applicant seeks an off-street parking variance from §155-55L which requires 49 stalls. The applicant proposes 30.
The hearing will not be physically open to the public pursuant to Township’s Declaration of Disaster Emergency and Governor Wolf’s “stay at home” orders in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the public and interested persons can observe the hearing by watching a live video conference. Parties to the hearing are determined by Article IX of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code. Anyone interested in observing the hearing, participating as a party, or inspecting the complete application can contact the Zoning Officer Matthew Helbers in advance by email at mhelbers@tobyhannatownshippa.gov. Instructions for viewing the video conference, application and public hearing participation will be posted on the Tobyhanna Township website at tobyhannatownshippa.gov at least 7 days before the hearing.
